Day 3:
 |
| I am SPEED! |
After a beautiful FULL night sleep (hooray!) the day started with very heavy rains, forecasted to continue through evening. So we consulted a list of George friendly activities and decided on the indoor playground, "
Leo Park". It was a good 45 minute drive away, but a pretty drive through misty mountains with picturesque scenes at every turn. Even the autobahn here has beautiful views. Note: sadly George can't see anything while we drive, the back window is up too high and his seat is too low (even with the additional blanket/pillow booster for padding - this car seat has ZERO padding). Going to have to plan a stop on our drive to Croatia on Thursday so the poor kid can see something!
Leo Park is like any bounce house type playground in the US. Lots of inflatables to climb, jump on and slide down, plus trampolines, a small train ride, go-carts, mini soccer pitch, ball pit... you get the picture. George had a BLAST and was a hot sweaty mess by the end of our two hour visit.

| Jumping! |
 |
| Ball pit fun! |
 |
| Climbing! He is going to do some crazy stuff later in life, I'm sure! |
 |
| Caboose riding! |
 |
| Snake wrestling! Who knew this was a thing?! |
I wish I had recorded two seconds longer and captured the amazing smile and fist pump he did! He went down this BIG slide a lot!
Next stop, back to Graz! Nick's colleague Alfred and his wife, Anna graciously invited us over to their home for cakes and refreshments. George is a big fan of social life in Austria and has discovered a love for Austrian cakes, cookies, and chocolate milk. Their grandchildren had just left from a visit that morning, so there were plenty of excellent toys to play with both inside and out - Duplos and a doctor kit plus a wheelbarrow and gardening tools were a BIG hit! It was a truly delightful visit that went by all too fast!

| Fun toys and a new friend! |
Back home Katie got in an evening piccolo practice session while the guys did a nature walk/scavenger hunt in the woods. This is their second attempt at the scavenger hunt and they have yet to see a squirrel! Guess they are evasive little critters here. I requested George bring me back a nature treasure, of course I got a rock.
A late night here, with bedtime not until 10pm. Tomorrow should be a sunny day! In fact, no rain in the rest of our Graz forecast, hooray!
